Over a thousand years ago - in times when magic was feared by common people - the four greatest witches and wizards of the age shared a dream... a dream to create a school where young ones of the wizarding world could study and be trained in the magical arts without being judged or feared by non-magical people; known as Muggles. Thus Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was built, protected by the high mountains of Scotland and powerful enchantments.
In other parts of Europe, similar occurrences led to the opening of two more magic schools. Thus, Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy were founded, in Norway and France respectively.
Years passed and none of the schools ever interacted with one another, until the Hogwarts Founders proposed a wizarding tournament. The heads of the academies arranged meetings and they spent months organising the event. Hogwarts was declared host school while a few selected professors and students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons would be staying at the castle throughout the duration of the Tournament.
Each school has a team of 4 champions. The students will be presented with various tasks, devised by professors from the three different schools. By the end of the academic year, the team with the most points will win the title of the Tournament Champion.
