Age: 46
Gender: female
Blood Type: pureblood
Birthday: September 1st, 1951
Year: adult
Wand: 12 ¾ walnut, dragon heartstring
House: former Slytherin
Patronus: She is unable to conjur a patonus
Alliances: Death Eater - high ranking
Likes: The Dark Lord (a little too much), her sister Narcissa and her nephew Draco, handing out torture, the forbidden cures (particularly the Cruciatus Curse), herself,
Dislikes: Harry Potter, muggles and muggle borns, Lucius, Azkaban, order, bright colors, Andromeda Tonks (sister, disowned), Severus Snape,
Weaknesses: Narcissa and Draco, is incredibly crazy, is unable to go anywhere without being recognized which makes getting to places difficult, is unable to make friends, her husband Rodolphus (though she does not love him), Lord Voldemort (she is very submissive to him and is truly in love with him, though he does not seem to share the feelings)
Strengths: very good at torturing people, doesn't seem to know she is insane, is a natural leader (though she follows Lord Voldemort), is capable of caring though hardly anyone sees that side of her, can perform several curses with extreme success, duelist, one of the most dangerous women alive, non-verbal magic, Occlumency,
Amortentia: blood, smoke (from a fire, not cigarettes)
Riddikulus: death and a second turn at Azkaban
Expecto Patronum: It isn't much of a memory as a fact, but knowing that she is the Dark Lord's most faithful servant and ally is very pleasing.
Dementor: Though she laughed a lot during the time, her period spent at Azkaban Prison (while also one of her proudest accomplishments) was terrifying and quickened the deterioration of her mind.
Mirror of Erise: Get rid of Rod and spend her life with the Dark Lord
Personality:
Cruel;;
It has been said by many that Bellatrix is even more cruel than the Dark Lord himself. She kills without sympathy and won’t look back unless it’s to reminisce about the hurt she’s caused to those she hates. She takes her duties as a Death Eater seriously, or as seriously as Bellatrix can take anything with her deteriorating mental condition. If this means torturing people she won’t think twice about it. She sent Neville Longbottom’s parents to St. Mungo’s after using the Cruciatus Curse to the point of making them basically vegetables. She’s also not opposed to disowning her own family should they not choose the way of the Dark Lord. She disowned both Serius and Andromeda for being blood-traitors. When it comes to torture, Bellatrix is the person you want on your side. She can be mean and heartless and she’ll stop at nothing for her job as a Death Eater.
Insane;;
Even before Azkaban Bellatrix Lestrange was a bit out of it in the head. It’s not that she’ isn’t smart, on the contrary she’s practically brilliant, but she’s also very crazy. Her sense of humor is sarcastic and demented almost to the point of it not really being funny. She has trouble concentrating on anything for too long and she laughs at the things that no one finds funny. She has a distinctive walk which only emphasizes her insanity. On top of it all, Bellatrix is so devoted to Voldemort that she took going to Azkaban as something of an honor, not denying anything she had done like several other Death Eaters had at the first fall of the Dark Lord. After Azkaban it was only more apparent that her mind had been further warped. She became more blood-thirsty and reveled in the thought of causing death.
Caring;;
Bellatrix has a soft side, though few ever see it. Though does not dislike her husband, she is incredibly in love with Lord Voldemort, though it has become apparent that he is not capable of returning an emotion as deep and powerful as love. She would do anything for her Dark Lord and not just because she is a Death Eater. She has an almost obsessive liking for Voldemort, speaking sometimes as if they were together in a romantic relationship. There are only a few others within this little circle of affection. These people include those of her family who pride themselves on keeping their blood pure. Her sister Narcissa is in this small group of people, which extends to include Draco to a point, because she thinks Lucius is a coward.
Temperamental and Judgmental;;
This woman is easily upset and angered. And when she is either of those things, unless your Voldemort there’s no bringing her back to reality, at least not until she’s killed something. It goes without saying that she is extremely judgmental. She refuses to believe that most of the Death Eaters are there truly for the Dark Lord, but instead are there out of fear. Those who fear her suit her just fine. But there are few in the group who she does not trust at all. Snape is one of these people. She doesn’t believe that he is a true follower of the Dark Lord, but since Voldemort has accepted him into the ranks, there’s not much she can do about it.

Hair: dark brown, almost black, curly and a mess
Eyes: dark brown
Fashions: dark, well fitted robes
Play by: Helena Bonham Carter
Appearance:
Standing rather short at 5'2” Bella has a thin figure that is exaggerated greatly by her clothing choices. The first time someone looks at Bellatrix it is completely clear that she is, in fact, insane. Her hair, long dark and a curly mess on the top of her head, is the least of the indicators. Her brown eyes are heavily lidded, but will become wide with rage or insanity at the very smallest of things. Usually dressed in some sort of black witch's robe, Bellatrix is not one to be seen in a lot of color. She walks with a sort of wobble that manages to be graceful, distracting, and unnerving.

History:
In 1951 Bellatrix was born. She was the first child of what would be three daughters to Cygnys Black III and Druella. Though Andromeda was the child that was born next and the closest in age to Bella, it was Narcissa, or Sissy as Bella nicknamed her, whom the dark-haired girl felt closest to. Though she was four years older than Sissiy, Bellatrix felt that they had much more in common than they did with Andromeda, despite the very uncanny resemblance that Bella and Dromeda shared. Their family was a pure-blood family, and due to that they grew up with the pure-blood elitist beliefs. Bellatrix was aware from a young age that as the oldest daughter, she would marry for convenience and not for love. That was the way it should be, though. It was the best way to keep their blood line pure. Unfortunately, some people thought it was unlikely that she would attract a mate, because even at a very young age, Bellatrix showed distinct signs of insanity.
At age eleven, as with most young witches and wizards, Bellatrix received her Hogwarts letter. While she was pleased with the idea of joining a school known for its excellent magical skills and she was looking forward to carrying the tradition of being sorted into the Slytherin house, she was really not the person who would be excited about studying and school work. The classes bored her and she spent most of her time causing trouble for people she found inferior to her. Her mental state continued to deteriorate and she began to develop a mad look about her. Bella's hair, though initially very difficult to keep up with, became even more wild and her eyes would have a hint of madness in them. Still, she was attractive enough to catch the attention of Rodolphus Lestrange. Though he was a handsome man by anyone's standards, she did not love him. She was convinced that he felt the same way about her. They were married shortly after their seventh year, a marriage of convenience, just as planned. Though she admitted a small attraction to the man, she would never characterize their feelings as love or even lust, but a mutual respect for the other. They had their moments, of course, and Rodolphus became one of the few people that Bella felt she could trust and be completely comfortable around, but it never reached the type of love that her sisters would have, though she disowned one of them for that very thing – marrying someone for love, who happened to be a muggleborn.
When the Dark Lord began collecting followers, Bellatrix and her husband were among the first to join him. They were the original Death Eaters: proud, pure, and cruel. Bellatrix herself was chosen to be a student of the Dark Lord. She became his prized student, someone who could soak up the information and use it at will. Even before they started the attacks she developed a sick obsession with the man. He was the kind of man she would have married. It didn't even matter to her that he wasn't a pure-blood. He was close enough and his distaste for muggles and muggleborns matched her own. She was quickly becoming his most trusted ally. Even now she calls herself the Dark Lord's most trusted servant. That is how she sees herself. She is one of the few females to have joined the cause and she rose quickly in the ranks to become a lieutenant of sorts. Bellatrix was Voldemort's go-to gal when it came to their goal. She had a disturbing fascination with torture and often played with her victims before finally doing them in. She was a big fan of the Cruciatus Curse and used it often. Killing was the way to get rid of witnesses and she never took any unnecessary hostages, preferring to just end their life right then and there. When her love fell, she went with a group of Death Eaters to seek out the Longbottoms. She participated in using the Cruciatus Curse so precisely that even now, years later, they are residents at St. Mungo's and unable to comprehend anything.
For her little acts as a Death Eater, Bellatrix was put on trial. Her sentencing chair was her throne. Her head was held high and she looked her accusers in the eyes. She had no doubts that she would be rewarded when the time came, so she confessed to everything and vowed that the Dark Lord would come back and reward anyone who stayed true to him. She was placed in a cell, separate from the others who had been convicted, and given a mark on her neck. A tattoo that would identify her for who and what she was. Bellatrix was well aware that some Death Eaters had gotten away, giving the Ministry names and details about what had gone on during the Dark Lord's reign. These people were cowards, she decided, and would pay for it once the Dark Lord returned.
And return he did. In January of 1996 she participated in a mass break out that was blamed on her cousin, Sirius Black. Of course her cousin had nothing to do with it, but why not let the press believe that? Besides she couldn't exactly walk up to a reporter and give them the information. She was placed in the home of the Malfoy's, though she didn't always stay there. It was clear that her fifteen years in Azkaban Prison had quickened the deterioration of her mental state. She was even more dangerous than before and that was saying something. She participated in the attack on the Potter boy and his friend in the Battle at the Department of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic. It was at this battle that she killed her cousin, Sirius, and taunted the Potter boy with that fact. She blames their failure on Lucius and when the occasion arises does not hesitate to point out that the Dark Lord had taken her with him when he apparated out of the building. Her goal for this year is to teach Draco Occlumency, as he has been initiated into the Death Eaters. Bellatrix insists that it is a high honor and is set on helping Draco complete his task in whatever way she can.
