The full moons after his friends managed to perfect their animagi transformations were all good memories too.
Dementor: His worst memory was when he saw Severus Snape looking at him while he was transforming back when he was in his fifth year. The thought of hurting Severus Snape that night instigated so much terror inside him that up until this very day, his boggart is the full moon and transforming near humans.
Mirror of Erised: Remus’ deepest desire is to be happy and to have his friends, the marauders, back. He wanted what he had when he was young. True friends. Because back then, apart from his immensely painful transformations, he had friends, who became animagi for him and made his transformations not only bearable, but the best times of his life. Back then, he felt accepted and truly belonged.
Personality: Remus John Lupin is a brave, intelligent, kind, good-natured, and tolerant wizard. He also possesses a good sense of humor as he was one of the Marauders. Despite being friends with bullies, Remus never partook in the act. He was personally against it because he suffered enough prejudices as a werewolf to know how terrible it was. However, he only stood by and did nothing to stop his friends. Remus also has an uncanny ability to guess the thoughts of the people around him. Although Remus is brave, he harbors deep-seated feelings of shame and fear of rejection after all the persecution he experienced because of his lycanthropy. He is also known to be someone patient enough to maintain civil conversations with people he did not get along with.

History:
CHILDHOOD Remus was born to Lyall and Hope Lupin 36 years ago. At the early age of five, he was bitten by Greyback after his father had insulted the werewolf. From then on, Remus went through the terrible transformations every full moon and everytime the neighbors became suspicious of what Remus was, he and his parents would live their current town for another. At that time, Remus leaned on his parents, who both loved and worried about him. They did everything they could to cure his Lycanthropy. His parents, unable to find cure for him, worried that he won’t be able to go to Hogwarts. Fortunately, Albus Dumbledore did not see any reason for him not to go to school.
SCHOOL DAYS Remus was both excited and worried when he first got to school. But, when he found true friends in the persons of James Potter, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, he felt happiness he never felt before in his life because for the first time he has friends. During his first year, he came up with elaborate lies for his monthly disappearance, which included his mother, Hope Lupin, being sick, for fear that when his friends found out the truth about him they will desert him. However, by his second year, his three friends worked out the truth but they did not ostracize him like he suspected they would, but instead strived to become animagi for him. Their actions made his transformations not only bearable but also enjoyable. In his fifth year, Sirius pranked Severus Snape. The latter saw him transform and up to now Remus is still terrified at the thought of transforming near humans and possibly hurting them. His mother died before he graduated.
FIRST WIZARDING WAR After graduation, Remus joined the Order of the Phoenix like the marauders and Lily did. He attended Lily and James’ wedding and fought alongside with the order. When Voldemort hunted Lily and James, Remus could not be happier that Sirius became the secret keeper, because he knew the Potters will be safe. Despite his loyalty to the Order, Sirius suspected him of being the traitor amongst them so he never told him about the last minute switch between himself and Peter. When Lily and James died and Voldemort fell in 1981, Remus was in the north of the country. When he found out about Sirius’s treachery and his friends’ deaths, Remus was beyond devastated.
IN BETWEEN WARS Remus, despite failing to support himself, refused to move back in with his father because he did not want to disturb his “peaceful” retirement. He visited him from time to time and his father was quite happy whenever he does appear on his doorstep. Remus lived alone during these times, struggling to make ends meet because he was always shunned due to his lycanthropy. In 1993, Remus was offered the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts and he accepted it. Towards the end of the year, he, along with Harry, Ron and Hermione, found out the truth about Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. He quickly became Sirius’ friend again and the two of them were ready to kill Peter. However, Harry decided to hand Peter to the dementors instead. This noble decision ended badly because Remus transformed into a werewolf and Peter escaped. Despite his Lycanthropy, he was able to teach his students well and by the end of the year he was regarded as the best Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher by most of his students, which included his best friend’s son Harry and his friends. Unfortunately, Severus Snape conveniently let it slip that he was a werewolf so Remus handed in his resignation before owls from angry parents arrived.
SECOND WIZARDING WAR Remus joined the Order of the Phoenix again. He was one of the Advance Guard that escorted Harry from Privet Drive to Grimmauld Place. He lived at Sirius’ for some time but was not around much because he was sent on many Order missions. He participated in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996 and came out of it unscathed. During this battle, Remus witnessed Sirius’ death in the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange. Remus, despite his devastation, was luckily able to prevent Harry from plunging into his death.

Sirius Orion Black had always been one restless boy who did not know how to manage his time properly when it came to his schoolwork. Of course the boy’s talent with time management lie on a completely different area - troublemaking. He had always had a knack for practical jokes and mayhem and always managed to squeeze plans to do it in between classes. Of course, he always does it with the help of his best friends James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin. However, that night, Sirius wanted to act alone. He felt that what he had in mind was too simple to involve four people. So, when it was around nine o’clock in the evening and people in the common room were starting to retreat to their dormitories, Sirius told his best friends that the Astronomy essay’s due date, which was tomorrow, completely slipped from his mind. Of course, he normally would have asked Remus to do it for him since his friend has always been willing to help, but he had other plans for that night… wicked plans.
Sirius worked on his essay hurriedly, wanting to be over and done with it as soon as possible. His excited mind, although exceedingly bright, was just up to neither the task of reading the Astronomy book, which was cracked open on the center table, nor was it up to write a three feet essay on Astronomy. He fidgeted a lot and looked at the common room fire, a mischievous glint in his stormy eyes, as he thought of the minor details of his one-man prank. He wondered where he would stage it, thinking of who he wanted to be pissed the most. The caretaker, Argus Filch, came to mind. Oh how he would love to annoy the bloody caretaker. A door closing somewhere behind him snapped him out of his reverie and he looked around, he realize that the sixth year Gryffindor prefect, the last one in the common room with him, must have retired to bed. Realizing that no one was on his way in getting out of the common room, not that anyone succeeded in stopping him from sneaking out before, he swiftly wrote the conclusion of his essay, writing a bit bigger so it would be exactly three feet. He couldn’t keep the grin off of his face as he rolled it up and stuffed it neatly in his rucksack along with his slightly used Astronomy book, ink bottle and quill.
Not wanting to risk waking up any of the second year boys in his dormitory, Sirius decided against going upstairs to stow his rucksack under his bed. Leaving his bag on the couch, Sirius slinked toward the portrait hole and noiselessly made his way to the secret passageway that led very near the entrance hall. He quietly opened the door and made three dung bombs go off in Filch’s office, closed it and pressed an ear to the door. He doubled over with silent laughter upon hearing Filch curse rather colorfully and scream bloody murder. The sound made adrenaline course through his veins and he ran for it, wiping his dirty hands on the front of his robes. “Blaaaacccck!!!!!!” Filch roared and cursed not too far behind him and this made him snort into his hand and ran faster, taking two flights of stairs at a time. It took him three secret passageways and two trapdoors before he finally managed to get Filch off his back. Panting, he looked around, taking in his surroundings. He was in the highest part of the school, at the top landing of the spiral staircase that led to the astronomy tower. He did not know how he managed to run from the ground floor to the astronomy tower without stopping. This instigated another chuckle to escape his lips.
It took at least a couple of minutes to calm his breathing and to stop himself from laughing at what he did. Sirius was about to descend the spiral staircase and walk back to the Gryffindor tower when he heard the sound of what could only be a chair being pulled from somewhere inside the Astronomy Classroom. Sirius took his wand out of his pocket just in case whoever was behind the door attacked, turned around and slowly and quietly opened the door. He took a peek and saw a rather small girl climbing into a chair. With an amused smirk, he watched her as she made herself comfortable and watched the stars. Realizing that the girl was not a threat because judging by her height, he could deduce that she was a mere first year, he grinned, slipped his wand into his pocket, stealthily slipped into the room, close the door behind him silently and made his way to the sweet-looking girl, who looked beautiful under the starry night sky. He caught a whiff of the putrid odor that came off of the front of his robes, where he wiped the dung bomb stain off of his palms not long ago, and had to fight of a chuckle from erupting out of his throat by biting his lip. He stopped walking at about ten feet from the girl. Still grinning, he made a tutting sound loud enough for the girl to hear before straightening up and saying, “You know, you can get a week’s worth of detention at the very least just for being out of bed after hours don’t you?” in his recently perfected prefect tone and shaking his head at the small girl in disapproval.
