Year: 7th
Wand: 8 1/3 inches, rosewood, dragon heartstring.
House: Gryffindor
Patronus: Red Tail Hawk
Alliances: D.A.
Likes: Quidditch, Snowfall, Pranks, Sunset Dating
Dislikes: spiders, rain, snakes, being late, losing a loved one
Weaknesses: Rules are something that she knows have to be followed but Katie doesn’t like following the rules. She wants to be able to do what she wants when she wants. She isn’t talking about anything big but she would like to go to Hogsmead when she wants without having to worry about breaking the rules. Katie’s other weakness is love. Watching what happened to her parents, drove her to not believe in it and she sees it as a weakness, however maybe someday that can change.
Strengths: Katie has a very kind heart. She loves to help everyone that she meets even if she only knows them for a day or two. She can’t stand to see someone struggle if she knows that she can help them. Katie is also a very honest person. Her honesty may have gotten her in trouble in her early years of school, but she learned to control when to be honest and when to not say anything. Her last strength is her flying ability. She learned to fly when she was young and became proficient at it after starting her Quidditch career in school.
Amortentia: roses, the smell of a new broom, and the smell after the first snowfall
Riddikulus: Falling off her broom. She knows that it is a strange fear for someone, but she is terrified that one day she will completely fall off her broom and crash down to the ground, either hurting herself or killing herself.
Expecto Patronum: Her happiest memory would be getting on to the Quidditch team at school, it was all that she could think about for the longest time, and when it happened she was ecstatic.
Dementor: Watching her father walk out on her and her mother.
Mirror of Erise: For her parents to be get back together and be happy like they used to be.
Personality: Katie is a go getter, she sets her mind to something and she does whatever it takes to get it. While some of those methods may not be the most ethical at times, she does not really care if it gets her what she wants. However with that being said she will not go out of her way to hurt someone, she will just take advantage of the fact that they are hurt and play that up for all its worth, like taking their spot on the team and things like that.
Katie is also a major prankster, well maybe not so much now, but when she was in school she felt like she could rival the twins, any chance she got. But since leaving school she hasn’t had the time to sit down and plan a prank like she used to.
Katie tries to be a loving person but she does not quite know what it takes to be that person. Ever since her parents split up she tried to figure out what love was, but she never really could. She has of course had crushes on guys before but because of her look on things they never lasted more than a couple dates. She thinks that there may be one person out there who can change it, she just needs to get up the nerve to ask him.

Hair: Shoulder length brown hair that curls a little
Eyes: brown
Fashions: jeans and a tee-shirt when not in uniform. Very little makeup, and even less jewelry.
Play by: Sophia Bush
Appearance: Katie, is a very active person because of that her body is in very good shape. She can usually be seen wearing jeans and a simple top on her days off from practice. She doesn’t really like to dress up because she knows by the end of the day she is going to be covered in mud or grass stains, from Quidditch, or whatever else she might do during the day.
She doesn’t really understand the whole make up thing, she uses it when she has a special event but other than that she doesn’t touch the thing. The same goes with jewelry, she doesn’t wear it unless it’s a special event as well, because she would probably lose it.
Her hair is a lovely shade of brown and a little red mix and is about shoulder length and usually pulled back into a ponytail. She doesn’t do much to it on her regular days, but when she is required to for promotional pictures or whatnot she goes all out and curls it and does all the fancy things with it.

History: Katie was born on the 5th of December of 1978. She was raised by both her parents who worshiped the ground she walked on because she was their only child. She got everything she wanted from a practice broom from her mom, to the VCR and T.V. in her room from her dad. She was able to get away with everything she did as a child, because her parents were just happy enough to have her with them. See she was her parents’ miracle child, they had tried numerous times to have a child but something always went wrong, until Katie. She was the first baby her parents were able to conceive and carry to term, which made them act the way they did with her. However her parents were always afraid that they were giving her too much and spoiling her, but Katie never really saw it that way. She was very straight forward even at a young age and told her parents when enough was enough.
About the time she was six, Katie woke up late at night one evening and heard some yelling coming from her parents’ bedroom, she quietly walked down the hallway and pressed her ear to the door. Inside she could hear her mom telling, well more like yelling, at her dad that Katie was a witch, and that when the Hogwarts letter arrived in a few years she would be going. Well her father didn’t like that, he never really liked magic and was only with Katie’s mom because he loved her personality not the rest of her, and he did something that Katie thought he would never do, he hit her mother. Sure she didn’t see it, but she could hear the sound of his hand hitting her mother. After that Katie ran back into her bedroom and cried herself to sleep. She didn’t want to be the reason that her mother and father fought.
The next three years where very hard for Katie, she was trying to control her magic, so that her father wouldn’t have a reason to hit her. See in the years that had followed that dreadful night in her parents’ room, her father had taken everything Magical away from her, and every time she had a burst of accidental magic she would get hit. Her mother had stopped practicing magic just so she wouldn’t get hit by him. Her once loving home was now falling apart. Then one night while her father was away for a business trip Katie’s mother ran into her room wand at the ready, shrunk down everything, put it in a box, and took Katie and ran. Her and her mother lived in many places before settling down in an apartment in London. However when they settled down was when her father found them. Apparently he had sent a Private Detective after them, when he returned home the next day, and that detective followed them and reported everything back to her father. One day when her and her mom were enjoying some time together, her father bust in the door and lunged for Katie. He wanted his daughter away from what he called a freak, and a poor excuse for a mother. Her mom just protected Katie and laughed at her father, the moment that he stepped foot in the apartment he forgot what he was doing there and what had happened, Her mom then told her father that they had come to terms with the fact that they weren’t happy in their marriage anymore and had mutually split. Katie had chosen to live with her mother, because of the help and guidance she could give her, and if Katie wanted to visit her father she could, but he was not to force a visit with her. Later on Katie’s mother told her that she had charmed to doorway so that if her father found them he would forget everything he did, yes it didn’t help Katie forget but her mother didn’t want to take those memories away from her because they supposedly made her a stronger person.
Two years later on September 1st of 1990 Katie was shocked to see both her parents at the train station when she went to leave for her first year at Hogwarts. Her father and her had, had a couple of visits in the last two years, but none of them made her believe that he would be there to send her off to school. Especially after everything he had done to her for being a Witch. She had to remind herself that he did not know what he had done and that he believed that he still loved her like he used to. She said a tearful goodbye to both of her parents and walked onto the train. She was not sure where to sit so she picked a compartment that was empty and took a seat in it. A few people joined her, but she ignored them for the most part, she wasn’t very social yet. When she got to Hogwarts she was shocked at how big the castle was. However she was even more shocked if it was possible when she put the Sorting Hat on and it told her that she would be good in either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, the hat had said that she was brave because of what she had endured, and would yet to endure, but that she was very loyal, after debating with itself it settled on Gryffindor. That night she met some of the other students in the house, but she also laid eyes on the Quidditch team. She saw how popular they were, and wanted to be a part of that, so she vowed to join the team next year no matter what. Her first year was spent getting to know the castle and the classes, and watching the Quidditch matches and daydreaming about what it would be like to play. At the end of the year she did her exams and passed with flying colors. She boarded the train back home and sat with some of her friends, this time she was more social that before.
Her second year was the prefect year for Katie. She tried out for the Quidditch team like she wanted and made it. She was going to be one of the Chasers on the team, alongside Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet. Those two girls quickly became Katie’s confidants and best friends. You could see them together anywhere you went, except for classes because they were a year older. However that helped Katie because it meant that she could ask them for help on assignments or other things. Katie also met the other players on the team, the Weasley twins where her favorite pranksters, and she would on occasion join them on the prank that they were planning, and Oliver Wood, the captain. He was cute, but a hard ass, Katie usually stayed away from him, because when she would go near him she would get tongue tied and would have to listen to him, worship the game that had made them friends. Sure she loved Quidditch but Wood seemed to be in love with it.
She spent the summer between her third and fourth year sending letters back and forth to her friends. Her third year she became closer to Wood in a way, she could actually talk to him this year instead of getting tongue tied. They would still only talk about Quidditch most of the time, but she liked the conversations that they had.
The summer of her fourth year, Katie’s father told her that he was getting married again and that she was invited to the wedding. She hadn’t really talked to her father since starting school, and she wasn’t sure what to do with the information. She was happy for her father, but she hoped that he would not do the same thing to his new wife that he did to her and her mother. After much debating Katie settled on not going to the Wedding, instead she was packing up her school supplies for the next year. Her fourth year was one filled with happiness and sadness. The Quidditch team did very well that year, but their captain Oliver was graduating at the end of the year. Katie was not quite sure what to do with that news, she had grown very close to him and while she was happy that he was done with school, she was sad that she would not get to see him every day next year. That summer she spent the majority of the time in her room writing letters to Wood that she never sent. She didn’t hang out with anyone or do anything really fun, in a way she felt like her heart had been broken, but she didn’t know what to do about it.
Katie’s next two years at school went by really fast for her, she kept playing Quidditch and became better at it than before, and she studied her butt off so she would pass her O.W.L.s and be able to take the N.E.W.T. level classes that she wished. When she took her O.W.L.s in her fifth year and received her grades in the mail in the summer she was happy with the results, 3 O’s and 4 E’s. The O’s were in Transfiguration, Potions, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. And the E’s were in Care of Magical Creatures, Astronomy, History of Magic, and Charms. Her sixth year started and Katie started taking her N.E.W.T level course to get ready for her exam in her seventh year. However there was one class that she was taking for her N.E.W.Ts that was not doing any good, and that was Defense against the Dark Arts, their professor had decided to forgo the practical portion and just stick with book work. Well that made everybody upset, so one day in Hogsmead she got together with a group of other students, led by Harry Potter, and joined the D.A.. The group helped each other learn the practical aspect that they weren’t receiving in class, and everyone seemed to be more advanced than before.

Roleplay Example: Katie woke up to the alarm clock going off in a hotel room that she didn’t recognize completely. She remembered checking into the hotel with the rest of her team, but after that she couldn’t remember anything. She wanted to believe that she had just gone up to her room to get ready for bed and passed out before she could even do that, but she had a feeling that, that was not the case. Her teammates had shown her that they were very good partiers, and they did not take ‘no’ for an answer, which meant that Katie usually ended up going with them, when they went out to ‘explore’ the new town. What that meant for Katie, was that she had to take at least one drink at each bar they explored be it a muggle bar or wizard one. It was all starting to take a toll on her body, her reflexes were slower during their morning practices, and everyone was starting to doubt her skill, even herself at times.
Slowly getting up out of bed, Katie realized that the coach had given them time off this morning and that they didn’t have practice till five this evening, which meant that one her alarm had woke her up way to damn early, and two she could go out and explore the beautiful city that they were in today, the way that she wanted to.
She got dressed much faster than normal, excited about the idea that she could escape her teammates, who were more than likely sleeping off last night’s activities. Once she was dressed she made her way to her door, hoping that she was right about her teammates and that they weren’t on the other side. Luckily for her they weren’t. She made her way down to the lobby of the hotel and out the door, stepping into the sunny road, she decided to head towards the café a little ways down the road in order to get some breakfast and to find out where she should go today.
Katie made her way into the café that she had chosen for breakfast. It looked a little busy, but she was not going to leave because of that. If she had learned anything about traveling the busy places where usually the best ones.
