Amortentia: Applewood Stable and some warm oatmeal.
Riddikulus: Fire. Just... fire.
Expecto Patronum: The day she realized that her ability to transform into a horse allowed her to help the horses more. She just ran. She didn't care that she wasn't fast, as Shire Horses are draft horses, she just ran.
Dementor: She had been working in the forest surrounding the farm collecting wand-wood to sell when she got caught in some sort of freak magical fire. Though that was the day of her first animagus transformation, it was also the worst of her life. She was in Saint Mungo's for a week recovering from smoke inhalation, third degree burns, shock, and trauma; her accidental magic had forced her into a form that wasn't natural for her as well, causing the ten-year-old to be first placed in the spell damage ward it get her out of it again.
Mirror of Erised: She wants to be safe, away from the fighting, working hard and happy on her farm, going on like life always had. She wants things to stop changing. She just wants things to stay the same. Is that too much to ask?
Personality:
Maddie is a gentle giant. Blessed with high levels of strength thanks to her odd jobs on the farm and standing quite tall, she is a bit intimidating to some people, especially considering her eighteen-hand animagus form. Nothing could be further from the truth, though. Instead, she's a calm, kind, hardworking girl who, despite perhaps not being the smartest child at Hogwarts is certainly one of the most genuine. To start, it takes something ridiculous to get Maddie very angry at all. She has a sort of calm, slow demeanor that'a a bit reassuring, if simultaneously frustrating as well. Even if she's walking up to the worst of bullies, she has this ability to stay calm and collected, and sometimes that winds up being more shameful. However, she also can't seem to get worried about things she can't see concerning herself or her family at the moment. This can be incredibly frustrating at times, especially when trying to convince her to get worked up over the war.
Don't make this let you think she's not a hard worker, though. Her calm slowness and her barely-passing grades in most subjects make some people think that she's simply lazy, when that's simply not the case. If there's one thing Maddie believes in, it's good, hard work. She puts her heart and hardest effort into everything she does, and she can't see why other people can't. It frustrates her to no end when she barely scrapes up As Transfiguration as other students who don't even try get Os. However, she takes it I'm stride, and strives to work harder, because hard work is the foundation of all things. She also believes in a bit of manual labor, as, while coming from a magical family, her family doesn't use much magic. Some manual labor and a real job builds character. Plus, in Maddie's mind, you're so much happier working hard than not. It only makes sense- right?
She's kind, she's genuine. The world has yet to see the day when Maddie lies or doesn't show the whole of her emotions right there on her face. Following from behind, supporting other people to lift them up, that's what she does. She's honest, not a cunning or conniving bone in her body. She must doesn't see the point. There'a no lying about good, honest work, right? There' son reason to hide what you really feel, right? There' snitching wrong with emotion, even if Maddie's tend to range from happy-and-calm to not-so-happy-but-still-calm. She' sneer once tried to be someone she wasn't, because that's simply not her nature. She is who she is.
Maddie also is an animal person. Despite being a wreck at transfiguration, she's an animagus. Why? She accidentally transformed when she was ten because her magic thought of horses before it thought of the more obvious apparation. She's an ace at Care of Magical Creatures, even when she's behind in most other classes. That' sweat she's done her whole life and will continue to do, if she'll be happy. Taking care of animals is simply right for her in every way. She' seen known to treat humans the same way- a calm patience, firmly but gently.
However, like anyone else, Maddie has a bad side, even if she doesn't have a great vice or sin in her body. She can't take change. She would like it better if things just stayed as they are, relatively calm, relatively the same. War and violence and turmoil, whether for good or bad, just doesn't sit well with her. She wants things calm and traditional, she wants things the way they always have been. Also, she's stubborn, and once she sets her mind on something it's quite difficult to yank her away. Her hard-working attitude pushes her to finish it, whether others think she should or not, and whether she's right or not.
Overall, though, she' said kind, honest, hardworking person, even if a bit dim sometimes. And, who knows? She sorta has her own wisdom, the common sense sort, I suppose. You just have to look to find it.

Hair: Curly, shoulder-length black hair that reaches barely to the shoulders.
Eyes: Blue
Fashions: In school, she wears a school uniform, obviously, though it's certainly not as nice as many of the school uniforms. However, when given the chance, she's often seen in jeans and a junky sort of shirt, looking every bit like she should be out working someplace.
Play by: Elizabeth Taylor
Appearance: Maddie isn't what most people call pretty. She has large, calloused hands, a somewhat wide figure, and an angular face. She's also ridiculously tall, standing at 6'1". That's tall for a full-grown male, let alone a teenaged female. She has broad shoulders. She clearly has strong arm and shoulder muscles, as well as almost all of her muscles. She's a bit broad, but it's clearly not fat of any kind. Her face is normally adorned with a soft smile. She can seem a bit intimidating due to her size sometimes, but the smile tends to cancel that out.
As for her animagus form, she's a black shire horse that stands at eighteen hands, or six feet at the shoulder. As a result, especially when counting her neck and head, she towers over most humans in this form. Distinguishing marks include boot-like white markings around her hooves and a white blaze. She also continues to have the same blue eyes. It's a draft horse, so it isn't terribly fast (comparatively), but is ridiculously strong.

Parents: Alexander and Meredith Applewood, former Hufflepuff and home-schooled child, respectively, happily in love and owners of a barn.
Siblings:
__________ Applewood, her younger brother who is being home-schooled.
__________ Applewood, her older sister who also was homeschooled, is now earning money to go into healing.
Others: Her paternal grandparents, Jeanette Applewood and Thomas Applewood, also live on Applewood Farm. Her uncle Thomas Applewood lives there as well,
History: The Applewood family had never been terribly well-to-do, really. It's a large-ish family of questionable blood purity. It's rare for a muggle to marry in, but no one kept track of who was a half-blood or who was a muggleborn or anything, you see. She was the middle child, and she was an Applewood from the start. The healers noted that she didn't have a strong magical core from the start. Her parents didn't care. Most of her family wasn't known for magical strength, anyway. They happily named her Madison, to be called Maddie. They didn't bother with a middle name. Most Applewoods didn't.
As a child, she preformed only rare bouts of accidental magic, mainly learning to work without any sort of magic whatsoever. Applewood Farm was an old establishment, a place where magical and non-magical creatures were taken care of. Other odd jobs tended to happen around the farm as well, depending on the season, to make a little bit more money. For example, wand woods and cores were often harvested so that Ollivander would give their children a discount when they had to buy a wand. Maddie loved it from the start, though her favorite animals were always horses, pegasi, and unicorns. She was slow moving but a hard worker, and that was all that really mattered.
However, her planned life would take a sudden change one day after hr tenth birthday when harvesting wand wood. No one was quite sure how it happened. Wand wood can be quite volatile, and can never be harvested using magic, so some sort of magic spark was suspected. Whatever the cause, the tree right in front of Maddie burst into sudden flame. She panicked. Her accidental magic flared up to get her out alive. However, it did an odd thing. Instead of teleporting her, like most accidental magic would, it transformed her into a horse. Luckily, her parents recognized this fact and got her to Saint Mungo's in time. She spent quite some time in there, but by the time she came out, she had been forced to learn the animagus transformation in order that she did not get stuck again. The Ministry was less than thrilled with the idea of a ten-year-old animgus, especially one on course to be home-schooled due to a lack of funds or ability to get into Hogwarts. The solution was unexpected: give her a scholarship.
Suddenly, everything was changing as people rushed around to accommodate her. Can't afford robes? Here, take these second-hand ones. Not smart enough? These books ought to help her. She, her siblings, and her parents were distraught. Maddie didn't actually want to go to Hogwarts, you see. She wanted to stay exactly where she was and not anywhere else. Still, she found herself on the Hogwarts Express, going towards a castle she wasn't prepared for.
She wound up doing what her ideals told her she must: work hard. She couldn't keep up in most of her classes, though, and suddenly found that a bit of intuition, some calmness, and a skill with animals did next to nothing at Hogwarts. She tried hard anyways, getting mediocre grades in everything but Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology. Her Transfiguration teacher was at her wits end. How could the girl be an animagus and be completely incompetent in transfiguration? However, Maddie also met friends. Her house accepted her for who she was, eventually, and that was all she wanted.
Most recently, fifth year was a slight disaster in that Umbridge was perhaps the least accommodating teacher Maddie had ever had. When she went up to the teacher to ask questions, such as "Um, 'm not to good with th' theory stuff, s'could you help me by relatin' it to animals a bit?", the teacher didn't exactly treat her well for that. She wasn't a member of the DA or anything, though, and her year was relatively uneventful.

Roleplay Example:
Peter's eyes soon found themselves looking into Gianna's, seeing her gain a softer, almost glassy look. For a moment, that triggered a thought. Was something wrong? Her eyes were soft, she was beginning to hug him back, but something about her motions and muscles seemed wrong. He shook it off, starting to shake a little himself. Gianna was in a bad state, wasn't she? Maybe once they all got out (as they would, he was certain), China would help. He thought he remembered him being good with children, but then again, he wasn't sure. He didn't know him that well. However, in the now, her tears were making him upset. He couldn't be upset now! He had to keep a happy face, so that Gianna wouldn't break down more.
As she rocked back and forth, shifting her hands, he knew he had to be silent and simply help her, for he knew those sort of things were nervous habits. He did things like that when he was upset, too, except he played with his hat or his compass. He took his hand and ran it through her hair, hoping he ease comforting her correctly. He wanted to get good at it. When he became a grand empire, he would make sure everyone was comforted when they were sad! It was a necessity! It was the right thing to do!
So, when Gianna buried her head in his chest, clinging tightly to his shirt, he thought nothing of it but to rub her back. That was right, wasn't it? For a moment, the slightly shaking boy wanted to have his back rubbed too. If only Mom Finland or Dad Sweden was here! They would know- no. Maybe they wouldn't, he finally admitted, as he shook a little harder. Maybe Mom Finland was blind. Maybe Dad Sweden was searching frantically. Maybe England was caught somewhere, trying to use his stupid magic to escape. Maybe- A few tears leaked out. He shook harder. They were looking for him! He just knew they were! He tried to hide his tears as his eyes closed and Gianna moved to really hug him and he hummed something that sounded like "We'll find a way, I-"
Suddenly, there was a powerful, burning sting in his neck. His eyes widened. It had been a long time since he had felt anything like it. The metal beneath his skin normally blocked needles and other such things fairly well. Desperately hoping what he thought had just happened had not happened, he looked frantically for some weird genetically-modified bee or something, begging in his mind for what had happened not to be true. No. No! She couldn't have- why would she do this? His pupils dilated, his heart rate sped up. She couldn't do this! No! His head shot upwards at the hard, lying eyes of Gianna Evans as she threw the obviously reinforced needle onto the ground, glass shattering everywhere, a shard of it hitting and cutting his ankle from where he was still sitting, shell-shocked, on the floor. His mind was reeling. This couldn't be happening! It couldn't be happening again!
He was sitting on a white bed in a room in his territory, Fort Roughs. He was coughing constantly, shivers wracking his body. Peter was worried. His body felt heavy, useless, and there was nobody around, but it would be okay, right? Big Brother would come and save him, and this cold, useless feeling wouldn't stab at him anymore. Although, he hadn't responded to any of his letters. Maybe they weren't getting to him! Yeah! He had been sending them with Miss Seagull, since no one had been around for the past two years to take them to a postmaster, so maybe Miss Seagull was getting lost? He'd have to write more. He stood up to go to his desk. However, the moment he stood, his vision blurred, and he simply collapsed to the ground. He was too sick to stand up or walk, apparently, after two years without population or purpose.
Then, he was in the floor, propping himself up, sitting against the bed. He wasn't going to be able to get back into it like this! Why? Why was he stuck here alone like this? It didn't make sense! He didn't like it! He shook, wrapping his arms around himself, tears leaking from his eyes as he both cried and tried to comfort himself. He coughed as he cried, feeling like there was only junk in his lungs, no air, nothing to breathe. He was strong, though! He would live- or... Memories that he did not want at the moment came calling back through his hazy mind, lessons about what being a personification meant. If he had no human population, then had nothing to personify, did he? He began to cry harder, tears rolling down his cheeks, realizing that if he hadn't been saved by now, his Big Brother had left him for dead. Dead. He whimpered. He didn't want to die! He didn't want to hurt anymore! He just wanted it to go away!
Worse than any of this pain, though, was the betrayal, and, more prominently, the feeling of worthlessness. He wasn't worthy of him? His insecurities wrapped around his head until Peter stomped them down and constricted them, telling himself another, slightly less painful idea. It had all been the betrayal of that Man's fault, that, that, that...
"JERK!" he shouted, venom and fear and anger and mostly sadness in his voice as he aimed it at the blurry figure in front of him. Her final words were blurry, but Peter caught their gist as, feeling more and more blurry and exhausted, he dropped to the ground, sobbing. Why? Why did people keep on abandoning him? He tried very hard! He tried his hardest! It wasn't his fault he was a lump of metal in the Atlantic! And more importantly, why, why, he wondered as he pondered Gianna's final, almost sweet words, couldn't he ever, ever, muster up the will to hate them for it?
Suddenly, he though he saw a shadow cross his eyes, which was strange, since no one else had entered the room, and Peter had heard no sound. He looked up, but a hand reached down and finished pushing his half-lidded eyes shut.
"Nighty-night, Peter."

No.
